the zscore measures how a score compares to the average in a group. A negative zscore means below average, a zero zscore is exactly average and a positive zscore is above average.$$z=\frac{x\overline x}{sd}$$ where x is the score, $$\overline{x}$$ is the average and sd is the standard deviation

0, nought. Zero has no value, it is neither positive or negative

is often referred to as the zero of an equation, or the roots, the xintercepts. To find the zeros of an equation, set y = 0 and solve for x
